42nd STANDING  LABOUR COMMITTEE
 was held at New Delhi on December 13, 2007 at Indian Council of Agricultural Research, Pusa

The 42nd Session of Standing Labour Committee was held on 13th December, 2007 at New Delhi under the chairmanship of Shri Oscar Fernandes, Hon’ble Minister of State (IC) for Labour & Employment.

The Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Labour and Employment, Shri Oscar Fernandes addressing at the 42nd Session of the Standing Labour Committee (SLC) at Indian Council of Agricultural Research, Pusa, in New Delhi on December 13, 2007.

Besides senior representatives of Central Trade Union Organisations, Central Employers’ Organisations, Labour Ministers from 10 States, Senior officers from 28 State Governments and senior officers from 21 Central Ministries / Departments participated in the deliberations. 

The following items have been decided to be included as Agenda Items for the 42nd Session of the Indian Labour Conference scheduled to be held later:

  1. a. All Issues connected with contractualisation of labour

    1. Issues related to Migrant workers.

  2. Role of Social Partners in appropriate Skill Development for employability.
